All Hallow’s Eve

It’s Halloween and time for my annual Spooky Cake at work.  I try to make this cake every year and take it in to work.  Dave said this was the best looking one to date.

I got the idea from some magazine years ago and have been making it yearly.  Ari informed me that I had [...]

Cali’s First Fire in the Fireplace

Tonight was Cali’s first fire in the fireplace.  She didn’t know what to make of it at first, then thought it was probably OK.  You can kind of see the fire in the fireplace in the first picture (without the flash), but you can see Cali’s beautiful coloration better in the second picture

Pumpkin Patch Day

This morning we loaded up Dessie and headed out to find a pumpkin patch.  I had seen an ad in the paper for Ragan & Holly’s Pumpkin Patch  so we decided to see what they had to offer.  This is at the same location as Jean’s Berry Patch, where we went earlier this year to [...]

Vin D’Orange

Mmmm…Vin D’Orange…

Earlier this summer, we had some at my favorite vineyard, Hanover Park, in Wilkesboro, NC.  I [...]
